What do you do if the congregation loses focus before the end of the sermon?
Because we are subjects of King Jesus, we can get caught up in the nations’ rage against God’s king.
If we do not try and understand the paradigm of the people we are trying to reach, how then are we going to present the gospel in a way that touches their lives personally?
Too much preaching takes a sling-blade to the bruised reeds, then runs them over with a mower, then hacks at them with a machete, then tells them, “I have good news.”
I am certainly no expert in preaching or sermon preparation. However, I have found this process helpful in the weekly ministry of preaching.
